Film Screening: Four Our Rights

StACCS to host Sámi guests, Johannes Vang and Elle Rávdná Näkkäläjärvi

StACCS will be hosting two screenings of Vang’s doumentary For Our Rights in Scotland next month, organised by Dr Michael Simpson (School of Geography and Sustainable Development). Each event will be followed by a discussion with Vang and elected member of the Sámi Parliament of Norway, Elle Rávdná Näkkäläjärvi, who will update us on the current situation and ongoing struggles for Sámi rights. The first of these events will be held at Glasgow on Tuesday, 9 June (18:30) at the Galgael community space (15 Fairlay St). The second of the two events will be hostedThursday 11 June at the Broadford Village Hall (19:00) on the Isle of Skye, co-hosted with two local groups that are actively organising in opposition to seven wind farm developments currently proposed on the island.
